Hurra, en strålende norsk filmdag i dag med Oscar-nominasjoner til «Me and My Moulton», regissert av Torill Kove og co-produsert av Mikrofilm (som vi tilfeldigvis deler kontorer med), og hele åtte nominasjoner til Morten Tyldums «The Imitation Game» – inkludert beste regi.
Det er bare én mindre enn «Birdman» og «The Grand Budapest Hotel», som fikk ni nominasjoner hver.
Eneste skår i gleden var at Ruben Östlunds «Turist», med norsk hovedrolleinnehaver og delprodusert av Motlys, ikke nådde opp – men det lå vel i kortene at den kanskje er litt vel analytisk og europeisk for det amerikanske akademiet.
Noen overraskelser fikk vi likevel – for eksempel at «The Lego Movie» ikke ble nominert til beste animasjon, selv om den fikk et lite plaster på såret ved å bli nominert for beste sang («Everything is Awesome»).
At Marion Cotillard fikk en nominasjon for Dardenne-brødrenes «Two Days, One Night» var det heller ikke mange som trodde på forhånd, men desto mer gledelig at det skjedde.
Akademiet valgte for øvrig å nominere åtte filmer i den gjeveste «beste film»-kategorien, og de mest overraskende titlene her er vel «Selma» og «Whiplash» – sistnevnte går for øvrig på kino i Norge nå, og anbefales varmt.
Selv om den nok ikke vinner i beste film-kategorien, bør JK Simmons ha statuetten for beste mannlige birolle i kofferten allerede:
