De drøyt 90 journalistene fra Tahiti og Malaysia (og vår egen Aud Berggren) som utgjør juryen i The Hollywood Foreign Press Association har talt, og årets Golden Globe-statuetter er delt ut.
Man krangler hvert år om hvorvidt denne har noe å si for det videre Oscar-løpet, og skal man ta resultatene alvorlig (det skal man ikke nødvendigvis) ligger nå «Boyhood» et hestehode foran de andre. Richard Linklaters strålende film, som ble spilt inn over 12 år, vant både for beste regi, beste dramafilm, og beste kvinnelige birolle (Patricia Arquette).
«The Grand Budapest Hotel» hentet med seg komiprisen, der den slo forhåndsfavoritt «Birdman» (sistnevnte fikk statuett for Michael Keatons innsats, samt manuspris).
På tv-fronten overrasket «The Affair» med å vinne for beste tv-serie (og beste kvinnelige hovedrolle for Ruth Wilson), mens Jeffrey Tambour velfortjent vant skuespillerpris for «Transparent» (som også fikk statuett for beste komedie).
I miniseriefeltet trumfet «Fargo» over «True Detective», også i skuespillerkategorien der Billy Bob Thornton vant foran Matthew McConaughey.
Ellers ingen god kveld sett med norske øyne, der det hverken ble priser til Morten Tyldums «The Imitation Game» eller den norske samproduksjonen «Turist».
